I started my floristry journey over 20 years ago, when I began formally learning the traditional tricks of the trade, and got a job at a local florist shop in Matakana.
My story goes back further – having come from generations of gardeners, I’ve been growing things for as long as I can remember. That naturally tied into my floristry, and I’m always spying different things to test and potentially grow.
Since those early days, I’ve had the privilege of making many floral arrangements for some of life’s most meaningful moments – from joyous weddings to heartfelt funeral tributes, and everything in between.
For the past few years, my focus shifted to raising my kids, but I quietly kept creating in the background, solely through word of mouth. Now in 2026, I’ve launched Kin Florist and an online space to welcome new clients.
Today I specialize in important life events: weddings and farewells, while growing as many flowers as I can, using regenerative methods. I design abundant, garden inspired pieces, each styled to individual personality. Working from my private home studio, I’m able to offer you undivided attention and care, along with unique, homegrown botanicals.
